Margorie Arthur Cromp, lovingly known as Mimi, passed away on June 11, 2026, in Covington, Louisiana, at the age of 76 surrounded by family. She was born April 16, 1950, in New Orleans, Louisiana but resided on the North Shore for most of her life.
Margie was the light in a huge family that included nearly 55 grand and great-grandchildren and believe it or not, she could recall each one’s birthdate. She was the loving mother to Scott, Stacey, Wayne, Louis, Angel, and Becky. Her home was a sanctuary where thousands of memories were made and a place where anyone could call home when they needed one.
She was preceded in death by her beloved grandsons Neil, and Peyton and her parents, Patricia Arthur “Mawsy”, and Mario Arthur, “Pal”.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Louis Cromp Sr., sons Scott (Kema) and Wayne Meiners, and Albert Louis Cromp Jr., and daughter’s Stacey Cromp Frizzell (Bonner), Angela Ingram (Bradford), and Becky Norfleet. She is also survived by her brother Mario Arthur Jr and sister Pattie Astarita.
To those who loved her, Margie was more than a mother or grandmother, she was that tie that bound everyone together. With a combination of a caring personality and a huge heart, she touched countless lives with her compassion and unconditional love.
Mimi’s passing leaves an unrepairable hole in our family. As we say goodbye for now, we hold onto the memories, laughs, and love she shared with all of us. Let’s keep the memories alive in our hearts and minds as they will forever be our goto for comfort.
May Margorie Elizabeth "Mimi" Arthur Cromp’s memory continue to inspire those who knew her to live with kindness, love unconditionally, and have an open heart.
