Lou spent her entire adult life as a Registered Nurse. She worked the early years at Lisenby Hospital in Panama City, Florida, before she moved to Slidell, LA to work at Slidell Memorial Hospital in the emergency room. Later she moved into hospice nursing which became her passion.
She was a credential minister with Faith Christian Fellowship. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and Malcolm Covington. She is survived by her closest friends, Jeanette and Bob Tindel, her Godchildren, Robert Tindel (Brandi) and Cynthia Barnes, her great Godchildren, Benjamin Barnes, Austin Barnes and Mallory Tindel.
Internment will be in Panama City, Florida with plans to be announced later
