Lynn Marie Matherne

Lynn Marie Holley Matherne, age 68, passed away on December 7, 2025, in Covington, Louisiana. She was born on July 13, 1957, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and was a longtime resident of Madisonville, Louisiana.

Lynn was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, companion and friend. Her family was the heart of her life, and she found her greatest joy in the time she spent with those she loved. From an early age, Lynn had a deep love for horses, a passion that stayed with her throughout her life. She also enjoyed cooking and took great pride in caring for her many dogs, all of which brought her comfort and happiness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Godfrey Holley  and Josephine Galiano Holley , her brother, Godfrey A. Holley Jr and her brother-in-law Dan Gray. 

Lynn is survived by her two sons, Frank Lawrence McDaniel Jr. (Jennifer) and Michael Campbell Jr. (Kelly) and her sister, Pamela Ann Holley Gray . She was a loving grandmother to Jarrett, Gavin, Jake, Wyatt, and Ryder, and a proud great-grandmother to Grayson McDaniel. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews, Devin, Alexis, Jenna, Michelle and Godfrey, as well as her companion Robert McBride Jr. and extended family members who will cherish her memory.

Lynn will be remembered for her love, her strength, and the care she gave so freely to her family and those around her. Her legacy lives on through the generations she helped shape and the love she leaves behind.
