Lynda Susan Deshotel

Lynda Susan Deshotel, born on June 2, 1959, in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away on January 10, 2026, in Slidell, Louisiana. Lynda was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother who touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness.

Lynda's love for life was evident in her hobbies and interests. She had a passion for horse riding and loved to watch the Kentucky Derby, cherishing the thrill and beauty of the races. Her enthusiasm for life was infectious, bringing joy to those around her.

She is survived by her daughter, Dakota Champagne (Jules), and her grandchildren, Alyjah Rester and Jules Champagne,V. Lynda is also survived by her siblings: Colin Deshotel, Jeff Deshotel, Don Deshotel, Kenny Deshotel, Theresa Anderson Takencareof. In addition to her immediate family, she leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will remember her fondly.

Lynda was predeceased by her father, Reginald Deshotel, her mother, Winifred Deshotel, and her siblings Kevin Deshotel , Randy Brown, Marc Deshotel, Yvonne Martin, and Eleanore Legros.

Lynda Susan Deshotel will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love that will last through her family and friends.
