Lois Willis

Lois Virginia Willis of Florence, Alabama, passed away on December 1, 2022 at the age of 84. Lois is preceded in death by her loving husband, John Thomas Willis, her parents, Jack and Mattie Mae Lumpkin and siblings, Jackie Wilcoxson, Betty Scott, Charles Lumpkin and Billy Lumpkin.

Lois leaves behind to cherish her memories, her daughter Debra Etheridge (Stuart), her sister, Barbara Scouotto, as well as her grandchildren; Virginia Grace Patterson, John Wallace Patterson and Lynnton Stuart Etheridge, Jr.

She was a member of the Garden Club and was involved with several Bridge Clubs and Church organizations, attending First Presbyterian Church. She had a love for teaching, reading, playing bridge and enjoying her time with her family and friends.

Lois spent years in education and teaching special needs children. She was a native to Florence, AL and attended Coffee High School and graduated from Florence State Teachers College. She was a great mother and grandmother. She dearly loved her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on December 8, 2022 at Elkins Funeral Home 1535 Hermitage Drive Florence, Alabama 35630 at 11:30 a.m. with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment to follow in the Tri Cities Memorial Garden 2601 Florence Blvd. Florence, AL 35630.
