Linda Darlene Drewett Treubel, a beloved member of the community, was born on August 9, 1945, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She departed this world on February 7, 2026, in Mandeville, Louisiana, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication.
Linda was a cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister. She is remembered by her living family members, including her daughter, Crystal Spell (wife of Ronald), and her son, Troy Huizar (husband to Kelly), her grandkids; Noah Lukinovich, Nathan Lukinovich, Brinna Neil Huizar, and Joseph Huizar, were a source of joy for her life.
Throughout her life, Linda was known for her deep commitment to her community. She was an active member and volunteer at St. Timothy Church on the Northshore, where she contributed her time and spirit generously. Her creativity shone through in her hobbies; she loved to garden and design new gardens, bringing beauty to her surroundings. She found joy in watching and feeding birds, and she had a talent for crochet and knitting, she also enjoyed crafting jewelry and handing it out to friends and loved ones as a token of her care. Additionally, Linda cherished her travels in the mountains, embracing the beauty of nature.
Linda was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Bruce John Treubel, her father Bertice Drewett, her mother Bonnie Weatherford, her son Byron Weiymann, sisters Doris Guidry and Shirley Dorman, brother Larry Drewett, and sister in law Antoinette. Each of these individuals held a special place in her heart.
A visitation in memory of Linda Darlene Drewett Treubel will be held on February 19, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Timothy on the North Shore, located at 335 Asbury Dr, Mandeville, LA 70471. A memorial service will follow at the same location, starting at 12:00 PM and ending at 1:00 PM.
Linda's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the community she touched.
