Lawrence Paul Turner

We are saddened to announce the death of Lawrence who passed away in his sleep on May 4, 2026.

Larry enjoyed taking long drives to see the beauty of this country, from the deserts of Arizona to the mountains of Tennessee. His heart, though, was always in South Louisiana with a big pile of crawfish on the table.

He believed in making the day of others just a little bit better if he could. He enjoyed getting a smile out of ordinary people who crossed his path every day. There were always kind words or a compliment for strangers around him. In restaurants, when the server came to take our orders, he would always say something like, “Hi, how are you doing? I hope your day is going well.”

Larry is preceded in death by his loving wife, Leafy Turner, his parents, Lawrence & Gertrude Turner, his brother Terrence Turner, and his sister Sylvia Scheuermann. He is survived by his children, John Turner, Michele Turner, Larry Turner, and Bonnie Lyn, and his grandchildren Justin Graffagnini and Ashley Turner.

He will be missed by many others.
