Lawrence Roy Ackerman

It is with a heavy heart that the family of Lawrence Roy Ackerman born August 6, 1949 in Memphis, TN, passed away on October 30, 2025 in Covington, Louisiana at the age of 76.

He is survived by his daughter Catherine (William) Conrad and Christine (Robert) Falcon, his grandchildren Lydia and Elliott Conrad, Caroline and Clara Falcon.

He was a devoted husband and father that always took care of his girls. He enjoyed old movies, a nice meal, a good cigar, an aged scotch or a dirty martini. When he wasn't with his girls, he was with his Tinder Box family, working most of the time, but cutting up at least some of the time.

Though he will be missed, we find comfort in his reuniting with his beloved wife Eileen and loving mother, Dorothy Bresnahan Ackerman, and many other family and friends.

There will be a Memorial Service held at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Hwy 437, Covington, Louisiana 70435, on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. with speakers at 11:30 a.m. Inurnment to follow in the Eternal Rest Cemetery.
