Laura Bell Pierre Glaze

Laura Bell Glaze, a beloved figure in her community, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, at the age of 91 in Covington, Louisiana. She was born on February 23, 1934.

Laura was a devoted mother to Kathine Glaze, Victor Glaze (Nena Faye), Gloria "Gina" Glaze (Glenn), Arshile Glaze, and Lamar Glaze (Lori). She cherished her role as a grandmother to 15 grandchildren and delighted in the company of her 32 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Laura is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Her brother, Alfred Pierre, also survives her. Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Wilson Glaze, her parents, Leander Pierre and Celina Warren Pierre, and her daughter, Lena Arron. She was also preceded by her siblings: Alphonse Pierre, Theresa Carrier, Bernice Tarantino, Isabell Lanier, and Maurice Pierre.

Laura had a passion for flower planting and gardening. She loved helping whoever was in need and was a faithful member of her church. Her home was often the site of joyful gatherings, where family and friends would come together to share in her warmth and hospitality.

Visitation for Laura will be held at Lee Hill Baptist Church, 11007 Lee Settlement Rd, Folsom, LA 70437, on June 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM funeral service following at 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. There will be food available to those who go after the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made for her service.

Laura Bell Glaze will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
