Kelly Lynn Adams, a loving daughter, born to Michael J. Adams and Sharon Lassalle Adams on March 16, 1978, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, at the age of 45, on December 7, 2023, at 11:54 pm in her home in Metairie, Louisiana with her loved ones beside her. 

Kelly is known for her huge, kind-giving heart that many of us have experienced through her hugs and thoughtful gifts. As of September 2023, Kelly was cancer free for 20 years. She was so excited to celebrate this milestone; however, was not able to do so. So, in honor of Kelly, we have decided to celebrate for her, while remembering the special memories we had of her. Kelly loved being with her family, especially with her niece and nephew, for birthdays, dance recitals, theater performances, t-ball games, graduations, holiday gatherings and family vacations. 

Kelly was currently working in the bakery at Rouses Market until she was diagnosed with Advanced Cirrhosis of the Liver. Previously she worked at Dollar Tree as a cashier, Gordons of Metairie as a bow maker and in the art department at Eric’s. After graduating from Grace King High School in May of 1996, she briefly attended Delgado Community College.

Kelly is survived by her father Michael Joseph Adams, her mother Sharon Lassalle Adams, her sister Michelle Adams Contreary, her brother-in-law Kerry Mark Contreary, her niece Kristi June Contreary, her nephew Corey Joseph Contreary and her aunts, uncles and cousins from the Lassalle and Adams Family. Kelly’s Celebration of Life (Memorial Service) will be held on January 20, 2024, at John Calvin Presbyterian Church’s Fellowship Hall (4201 Transcontinental Drive Metairie, Louisiana 70006) from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The funeral will be a private interment.
