Kathy Murphy Mailhes

Kathy Murphy Mailhes was born December 6, 1957, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Adrian and Shirley Murphy. She passed away in Hammond, Louisiana on February 7, 2023, at the age of 65.

Kathy was a wonderful soul, a beloved Mother, Wife, Mother-in-law, Grandmother, and Friend who will be missed dearly. She is survived by her loving husband Chad. her two sons Shane Mailhes (Hannah), Cody Mailhes, her two beautiful grandchildren Paisley and Jaxon, as well as her brother Michael (Rose) and nephew Sean Murphy.

Kathy sold insurance for her entire career starting at J Everett Eves, then Assured Partners. Following Katrina her and her family moved to Folsom, Louisiana, where she continued to excel in her illustrious career with Hancock Whitney and then Kennedy, Lewis, Renton.  Just as with her job she was passionate about her family and friends. She loved without abandon. She never met a stranger; she could make a friend anywhere. She loved playing Pokeno with her Sista’s.  Kathy had recently purchased a Yellow Corvette Convertible which she had absolutely adored. Kathy and Chad would spend countless hours on sunny days and drive many miles with the top-down, cruising and enjoying life. She was a wonderful mother who nurtured her boys into outstanding men. There was truly nothing Kathy couldn’t accomplish when she put her mind to it.  Our loss is tragic, but it is nothing in comparison to all the lives she touched.
