Obituary

Karin Lyn Gremillion passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, at the age of 56. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and a longtime resident of Carriere, Mississippi. Karin lived a life devoted to family, friends, and helping others.

She was the beloved wife of Phillip Gremillion and the loving mother of Alexandra Gremillion Vado (Devin). She was the cherished daughter of Patricia Sullivan and the late Lionel Pepiton. Karin was the dear sister of Stephen Pepiton (Melinda) and Wendy Hatcher (Ken). She was also a proud and devoted grandmother, affectionately known as "GiGi," to Gabriel Vado, Dominic Vado, Theodore Vado, and Oliver Vado.

Karin was preceded in death by her siblings, Kenneth Pepiton and Susan Lumette. 

She is also survived by, and will be fondly remembered by, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness and friendship. 

As a gifted counselor, Karin touched the lives of countless students through her patience, compassion, and unwavering dedication to helping others. Outside of work, she found joy in reading, creating jewelry, and spending time with her cherished friends. Above all else, Karin loved being Phillip's wife, Alexandra's mother, and a proud GiGi to her grandsons. 

Karin will be forever remembered for her warmth, wisdom, gentle spirit, and the love she shared so freely with those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation On August 8, 2026 in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to assist with funeral expenses. Any contribution, no matter the amount, is sincerely appreciated.
