John William Ducros was born on June 17, 1952 in New Orleans Louisiana, to Arthur and Maria Ducros he was the oldest son with two younger brothers, Robby and Steve. Was married to Josephine (Josie) Tardo for 25 years.
Paw paw never met a stranger and lived his life giving and doing for his friends, neighbors and family. He was active in giving to Sigma Delta Chi sorority at Andrew Jackson High School in Chalmette, Louisiana. He retired from CornerStone Chemical in 2020 as an electrical instrument technician. He was a graduate of Holy Cross High School and Nunez Community College where several credentials were acquired including electrician and HVAC certification.
John loved doing for his friends, family and neighbors and was a New Orleans Saints and LSU football fan. John was preceded in death by his wife Josie, father Arthur, mother Maria, brother Steve and grandson Nicholas Calico.
Left behind to cherish his memory, his son Gary Calico (Christy). He was a loving Paw Paw to Dominic and Endsley. Brother Robby Ducros, Sr. (Barbara) nephew Robby Jr. (Nezzie) numerous cousins, Lifelong friend Fred Martinez, and Girlfriend Jaycine Cole.
The family would like to thank the staff of Lakeview Hospital, Davita, and Forest Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their dedication and care for John.
Family and Friends are invited to a Celebration of life honoring John on Friday, August 11th 2-5 pm in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Highway 437, Covington, Louisiana.
