John Henry Cook

John Henry Cook, born on November 27, 1960, in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away on September 26, 2026.

John was a proud New Orleans native whose life reflected hard work and deep love for his family. He graduated from Bonnabel High School in 1977 and continued his education at Delgado Community College, class of 1979, where he majored in Mechanical Engineering/HVAC. Over the years, he was a mechanical engineer, served in Homeland Security, and also in the police service. His career showed his willingness to take on responsibility and serve in different ways.

Outside of work, John enjoyed the things that brought excitement and joy to his life. He loved music, cars, and motorcycles. Driving fast gave him an adrenaline rush, and that sense of adventure was part of who he was. He was someone who could bring laughter and lightness to those around him.

More than anything, John loved his family with everything in him. His proudest accomplishments were his children and grandchildren, who meant the world to him and remained at the center of his heart.

John is survived by his children, siblings, and parents. He will be remembered with love by those who knew him, and his memory will live on in the family he cherished so deeply.

He leaves behind a life marked by devotion, humor, and a love for living fully. John Henry Cook will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
