Jesse Carl Howard Jr. of Slidell, Louisiana passed away peacefully in his home on the 24th of April, 2026. He will be missed by those whose lives he touched.

Born in San Diego, California on the 13th of August, 1962 to Ann Galvin Howard and Jesse C. Howard Sr., Jesse was raised in the tradition of patriotism and service. 

Enlisting as early as he was able, Jesse served as a mechanic and supply specialist in the US Army before being medically retired due to injuries from a motorcycle accident. Following his service, Jesse pursued a career as a chef. When he wasn't serving others, Jesse enjoyed crafts such as making pop-can airplanes and bead-and-safety-pin Christmas trees. He also enjoyed playing the piano and singing, and loved taking adventure by cruise ship. Service remained an essential feature of Jesse's life, and wherever he moved, he would find a Lodge of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elk to help him pursue that goal.

Jesse Carl Howard Jr. is survived by his sister Cynthia Bartholomew (James) and his dear friends Brent and Jeanie Hanna.

A committal service will be held for Mr. Jessie Carl Howard Jr. on the 26th of June 2026 at the Southeast Louisiana Veteran's Cemetery in Slidell, Louisiana beginning at 01:30 PM
