Jeremy Knaps

Jeremy Douglas Knaps, passed away on Friday, January 6 th at St. Tammany Parish Hospital, Covington, LA. He was 44 years old, a lifetime resident of Metairie, LA until recently, when he moved to Mandeville. Jeremy is survived by his loving wife of 17 years and best friend for 24 years, Eva Hauge Knaps, his beloved three children, Kaiden Knaps, Taylor Knaps and  Jackson Knaps, his dedicated, loving mother, Constance Schnauder Knaps, his loving in-laws, Joy and Richard Blanchfield, sister Roni Knaps Guercio, brother Andrew Michael Knaps, sister-in-law Jillian Knaps, nieces Jadyn Guercio and Olivia Morrish, nephews, Jacob and Landon Knaps, nieces, Emma, Amelia and Harper Knaps, his brother-in-law Kenny Hull and nephews, Caleb and Evan Hull, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Douglas Knaps, brother-in-law John Joseph Guercio, maternal grandparents, Anna and Ronald Schnauder, paternal grandparents, Louis and Virginia Knaps.

Jeremy was the Executive Vice President of Commercial Paint Company, where he worked for the past 26 years. He was a member of the Krewe of Jefferson Fun Riders from 1996-2010 and Mach1.org. He graduated from Grace King High School, Metairie, LA.

 Jeremy was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He enjoyed building and woodworking with his Dear Uncle and Best Friend, Eddie Schnauder. He enjoyed History and was always educating himself, from Cars to Carpentry, he could fix or build it all. He loved vacationing and making memories, spending time with his family. Jeremy loved watching his oldest son Kaiden play basketball and sharing jokes with him, he was always so proud to see his daughter Taylor's drawings and hearing her play the violin,he enjoyed watching the movie Mortal Combat with his youngest son Jackson and their detailed discussions about everything from space to dinosaurs. Gone too soon, will be missed by many.

 Friends and family who would like to attend, services will be held on January 19, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75212 Hwy 437 Covington, Louisiana 70435 with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
