Jeffrey Alan Cox

December 6, 1988 — November 5, 2025

Huntsville, Texas

Jeffrey was born December 6,1988 in Covington, LA and returned to his Heavenly home on November 5, 2025. He currently resided in Huntsville, Texas with his fiance, Johnni Peterman and their beautiful children, Christian and Scarlett, after living in Covington, Louisiana for most of his life.

He also leaves behind to cherish his memories, his mother Dana Newman Duczer of Covington, Louisiana, father Albert Walter Crawford Jr. of Cleveland, Texas, his siblings Brandi Duczer (Robert Secrest) of Covington, Gracelyn Duczer and Aron Duczer of Covington, Jennifer Matherne of Hammond, Louisiana, Dwayne Crawford of Cleveland, Texas, and Chasity Walters of Pelahatchie, Mississippi, as well as his former step father, Jeff Duczer, of Central, Louisiana, Michael Coates and Ashley Mansfield (Timmy) as well as many cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in laws, friends and extended family members.

Among those waiting joyfully to greet him were; his brother Timothy Duczer, his granny Juanita Newman (Abita Springs, LA), 2 treasured uncles, Ronald "Nemo" Newman and Randy Crawford, Vikki Johnson, Tyler Quave and many more.

From the day he was born, Jeffrey never met a stranger and to know him was to love him. He treated friends like family and family like friends and left quite an impression of love and kindness on everyone he met.

All will agree that no matter where he was, Jeffrey or anyone with him was in no danger of getting lost, for he was always the loudest voice or laugh in the room, fields, forest, etc and his laughter was almost always of the obnoxious, cannot be mistaken, variety.

Playing baseball was near and dear to his heart, as was his love of raccoons and other critters.

Whether he was called son, daddy, husband, brother, relative, friend, or other interesting names we can't, in good taste, say on here, Jeffrey answered to each as only he could with love and pride. For the people in his life circle, he fiercely protected each and every one and his opinions were freely given whether asked for, liked or not!

Although Jeffrey loved life and all of his people deeply, he endured overwhelming grief for two years, eight months and twenty-one days after his brother, Timmy, unexpectedly began his Heavenly journey. Although our hearts are heavy and broken, knowing that Jeffrey's heart is now healed makes this time a little more bearable. What a reunion that must have been and will be when we reunite with them some sweet day!!

Our sincere thanks to everyone who has helped us during this tragedy and for loving Jeffrey and his family as your own, adding great happiness to his life. Your love and support meant the world to him. Please continue to share memories and photos. We will cherish them all.

Pallbearers will be Gregg Bell, Joe Bonnette, Dwayne Crawford, Scotty Rolls, Michael Coates, Randy Potter, Jeffrey Powell, Robert Secrest and Aron Duczer.
