Jeff Baker

Jeff Baker, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on December 30, 2025, in Covington, Louisiana. He was born on November 4, 1958, in Hamilton, Ohio. He lived his life with purpose and dedication, leaving behind cherished memories that will always be held dear.

Jeff was a proud graduate of the King Point Merchant Marine Academy in New York, where he became an esteemed Alumni of Kings Point Merchant Marine. His commitment to service extended beyond academics as he honorably served in the Naval Reserve for six years.

Beyond his educational and military achievements, Jeff was known for his joyful spirit and passions. He was an avid swimmer, finding joy in the water, and he embraced the role of being a great father and husband. His love for his family was evident in everything he did, and he will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He leaves behind his loving spouse, Sandra Baker, and his beloved daughter, Jenna Baker and her fiance Rita Garcia. Jeff is also survived by his sister, Melissa Baker; sister-in-law, Mindy Anderson (Tom); brother-in-law, Richard Schlenk; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Rufus Baker, and his mother, Della Robinson Boggess.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 24, 2026, at The Anderson Residence in Robert, Louisiana, starting at 1:00 PM and concluding at 2:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather together to honor and remember Jeff’s legacy and the love he shared with so many during his lifetime.
