Jamie Shawn Pourciau

Jamie Shawn Pourciau, born June 29, 1990, sadly passed away on February 15, 2026. He was a loving father, son, brother, and friend.

Though Jamie faced the challenges of addiction, his life was defined by far more than his struggles. He remained a man who loved deeply, especially his children—Jaelyn, Mari, and Jamie Pourciau, Jr. and his mother Mary, who were the light of his life and his greatest joy. His love for them was constant and unwavering. We remember him not for the battle he fought, but for the light he brought into our lives. May his story remind us of the importance of empathy, understanding, and hope."

Jamie believed in Jesus Christ as our savior. Those who knew him find comfort in trusting that he now rests in the peace he long searched for, reunited with his beloved mother and held in God’s mercy. 

Jamie is survived by his wife Melissa, their children Jaelyn, Mari, and Jamie Jr., his father Gerald, sisters Wendy Woodworth and Kasie Pourciau, grandfather Clebert Boudreaux, and many more family members who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his biggest cheerleader, his mother, Mary Boudreaux Pourciau, maternal grandparents Delores and Rick Noland, Margie Boudreaux, and paternal grandparents Joyce and Gerald Pourciau. 

A special thanks to Joseph Sanchez, owner of Spudtacular Tubers for giving Jamie the opportunity to work there and by being a friend, mentor, and brother to him. Jamie loved his job and Joseph. 

Celebration of Life will take place on March 21, 2026, 10:00 am at St. William Cemetery in Port Vincent, La. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Grove Recovery Center, Sorrento, La.
