James S. Rappold

James Steven Rappold, “Rapp” entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at the age of 86. He was the cherished son of the late Elaine and Peter Rappold. He was a devoted life partner to Alice Rosen for 11 wonderful years.

Loving father of Mark (Shawn), Margie Laccassagne (Herbie), and Keith (Kendra), grandfather to Lauren, Herbie, Mike, Katherine, Brent and Colin, and great grandfather to Jackson, Clark, Ryder, Hart and Hudson. Rapps’ passion was always helping someone in need and his generosity knew no bounds. 

In his spare time, he loved to play golf and had a soft spot for animals. He retired from Amron in 1996; after retirement he worked for the St. Tammany Fire Department, District 12. 

Rapp will be greatly missed by many family and friends.
