JAMES "JIM" BRET NORMAN, SR., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He died Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, Louisiana. He was 70, a resident of St. Tammany Parish and a native of Terrebonne Parish. He was a retired administrator with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
Survived by his wife of 50 years, Annie "Ann" Norman; a son, James "Bret" Norman, Jr. and his spouse, Sarah Norman; 5 siblings, John Norman, III, Lyndall Nichols, Barbara Jahan, Jacquelyn Evans, and Jane Bueche; and 2 granddaughters, Hannah and Chloe Norman.
Preceded in death by his parents, John and Wynona Norman.
Mr. Norman was a baptized minister of Jehovah's Witnesses for 57 years, having served in various Baton Rouge Area congregations as well as the Abita Springs congregation.
A memorial service will be conducted by John Austin at the Abita Springs Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 76320 Highway 21, Covington, Louisiana, 70435, on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.
