Jacqueline Frances Albe-Pinto

Slidell, Louisiana

Jacqueline Frances Albe passed away on May 29, 2024, at the age of 88.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Ferdinand (Nanny) and Louise Albe, her beloved son, Craig Thomas Gabb, and her husbands, Theodore J. Gabb Jr. and Joseph J. Pinto.  She is survived by her loving daughter and best friend, Ronda Mary Gabb, and spouse, Gina Noto, who were by her side when she was called Home to be with God in eternity.  Jackie is also survived by her grandchildren, Jade Patrick Gabb (Ginny) and Sommer Leigh Gabb Dispenza (Josh), her great grandchildren, Milleigh Elizabeth Gabb, Owen Patrick Gabb, Jett Patrick Thomas Gabb, Jill-Leigh J. Dispenza, Joshua J. Dispenza Jr., Josephine J. Dispenza; and her great-great granddaughter, Phoenix Rose Gabb, who was the light of Jackie’s eyes.  Other beloved survivors are her sister-in-law, Linda M. Gabb, as well as many cousins (especially Lori, Joann, and Cheryl) and friends (especially Jackie, Phyne, Roseann, and Lisa) who were all very special to her. A special thank you to her St. Anthony’s Gardens Gang (Nell & Guy, Nolia, Nan, Joe and Diane) who took her under their wings when she moved into Independent Living in 2022.

Jackie was born and raised in the Gentilly neighborhood of New Orleans, and graduated from John McDonogh High School in 1953.  She and her husband, Joe, lived in New Orleans East before moving to Eden Isles in Slidell.  Both worked in retail clothing sales for many years.  Jackie was a classy and beautiful lady, always dressed to kill, and she loved helping her customers look their best. To say she had a “passion for fashion” was an understatement! Jackie was known for always having a little gift for everyone, making each person she contacted feel special.  She loved shopping for these gifts, and buying the latest styles of clothes, especially Chico’s sale rack!  In retirement, she enjoyed traveling, dining out, and playing cards with Ronda and her friends, and visiting her grandchildren and great grandchildren in West Monroe.

The family will be forever grateful to her phenomenal caregivers, and Notre Dame Hospice, but most especially to Paulette, Katelin, and Debra who were more like her daughters and loved her dearly.

Relatives and friends are invited to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 400 Westchester Place, Slidell, on Thursday, June 6.  Brief Visitation will begin at 9:45 a.m., followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m.  After Mass, a “Celebration of a Life Well-Lived” (from 11:45am-2:30pm) will take place at Tammany Yacht Club, 1196 Harbor Drive, Slidell.  You are encouraged to wear bright and cheerful colors (“Day Chic”) to celebrate Jackie’s well-lived and well-loved life, and now her eternal happiness.

Inurnment at Lakelawn will be private at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider having Masses said, or making a donation in memory of Jacqueline Albe-Pinto, to your favorite charity, or to Jackie’s favorite charity, Padre Pio Foundation (#06-1023010) whose motto was “Pray, hope and don’t worry.”
