We gather in Love to celebrate the life and legacy of Henry Barnes Jr., a rising music artist known as Calio3way, whose spirit, creativity, and compassion touched the lives of many. Although his musical roots and soul were forever tied to New Orleans, he resided in Picayune, Mississippi.
Henry was born on March 14, 1978, to Shirley Barnes and the late Henry Barnes Sr. in New Orleans, Louisiana, but on May 15, 2025, his life was tragically cut short in a car accident. While his physical presence is no longer with us, his music, legacy, and love live in the hearts of all who knew him.
Henry lived a life filled with passion, purpose, affection, and dedication, always putting the needs of others before his own—sharing his voice, energy, and love for rhythm with those around him. He worked diligently for six and a half years at Thomas Pump & Machinery located in Slidell, Louisiana, where his co-workers became family and his hard work was deeply valued.
Henry's greatest pride was his family. He was the proud father of Ha'den Barnes of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, Ms. Jamyra Bailey, and MyKira Barnes of New Orleans, Louisiana. He cherished his time spent with his grandchildren: Darnyla Bailey, Rendell and Renmanl Boykins. His love extended to his brothers Brian (Dawn) Thomas of Dallas, Texas, and the late Ronald Miller Sr., his sisters: Rhonda Miller and Tonya Barnes of New Orleans, Louisiana, and his girlfriend Tarea Levi.
As an upcoming music artist, Henry's songs told his story. Tracks like "I'm Him Now", "Cut it up", "When I'm in Dat Bag", "I'm Digging U", "Have you Ever", "Brand New" and "Holding on" are a powerful dedication to his late nephew Jermom Miller "Batman". His music captured his experiences, his dreams, and the emotions he wore with pride through every beat and lyric. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss his smile, laughter, his strength, and the music that made him unforgettable.
"Your song may have ended here, Henry, but your melody plays on in our hearts. Rest easy and keep singing from heaven."
