Helen Marie Troutt

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Helen Troutt, who passed away at Slidell Memorial Hospital in Slidell, LA on 12/27/2025 at the age of 61.

Born on 4/12/1964 in Hayti, MO. Helen touched many lives during her time on this earth. She was an amazing person who had many challenges and faced them all with the determination of a survivor.

Helen’s passion for wanting to help and giving what she had was evident in everything they did, and her memory will endure in the hearts of family, friends, and the wider community. She had a love for animals. Mostly cats and dogs, but anything that seemed to need help, she would do all she could. Her personal pets/companions were a big part of her life.

Helen is survived by her sister Pennelope Stoudt, son Josh Turner, grandchildren Joshuah and William Turner, nephews Jason Clem, Chris Traywick, Jeffrey Mclain, Jason Mclain, Lenny Lovell, Jared Lovell, Scott Haggard & many other family members who will continue to honor her memory by living life with the same compassion Helen had.

Helen is proceeded in death by her father and mother Bill and Martha Traywick, sister Visa Traywick Williams, brother Edward Mclain, life partner Gary Turner, & husband Edward Troutt.

A formal memorial service will not be held but the family will have a private memorial at a later date. All whom she knew and loved will be welcome to attend and share in the remembrance of a remarkable life.
