Gregory Dean Trytten, born on November 7, 1953, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, & a 49-year resident of Vancleave, Mississippi, passed away peacefully in Metairie, Louisiana on May 19, 2025. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, & friend who touched the lives of many.
Gregory is survived by his devoted spouse, Barbara Trytten, & their children, Benta Tanner, Meredith Lee, & Kristin Trytten (Grayson Gregory). He shared a special bond with his sister, Chickie Williams (Robert), & his brother, Gary Trytten (Dana). He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren, Anna, Catherine, Hunter, Jason, Ashtin, Anthony, Jameson & Ryleigh, as well as his 3 great-grandchildren, Braxton, Ava, & Maddox. Along with a host of nieces & nephews that he loved so dearly. Known for loving his brother & sister-in-laws like his own siblings.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Trytten, & his mother, Ann Trytten. He also mourned the loss of his sisters, Karen Dorr (Alan) & Peggy Paulson Wiley (Dan) & son-in-law, Tony Lee.
Throughout his life, Gregory found joy in watching his grandchildren play sports & took great pride in being there for them. He was known for his kindness & willingness to help others, traits that endeared him to all who knew him.
Gregory's memory will live on in the hearts of his beloved family & friends. He will be dearly missed & remembered for the love & warmth he shared with everyone around him.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service being held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Magnolia Baptist Church, 2400 Magnolia Bapt Church Rd., Vancleave, MS 39565 beginning at 11:00 AM.
