Gregory G. Kernan

Gregory G. Kernan, a retired Assistant Fire Cheif District #4, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on July 31, 2025, in Mandeville, Louisiana. He was born on January 18, 1958, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Gregory led a life dedicated to serving his community and found joy in his hobbies of hunting, fishing, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren.

Gregory is survived by his loving spouse, Dianne Windom Kernan, and their child, Jarred Kernan (Rachel). He also leaves behind his siblings, George Kernan, Chester Kernan Jr., and Dianne Torres. His cherished grandchildren, Gracen, Sadie, Jayden, and Skylar Kernan, will miss their grandfather deeply.

He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Kernan Sr., his mother, Shirley Camp Kernan, and his brother, Gary Kernan.

Visitation will be held at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home in Covington, Louisiana, on August 5, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at the same location from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. This is a time for family and friends to gather and remember Gregory's life and the legacy he leaves behind.
