Grace LeBlanc Frank

March 20, 1931 — April 14, 2026

Metairie, Louisiana

Grace LeBlanc Frank passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026, at the age of 95.

Born on March 20, 1931, in Labadieville, Louisiana, Grace was a proud graduate of Assumption High School. She resided in Covington for 41 years before spending her final year in Metairie.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Lynn Louis LeBlanc and Lea Himel; her devoted husband of 67 years, Herman Lewis Frank, Jr., the love of her life; her brothers, Earl LeBlanc and Raymond LeBlanc; her grandson, Sean Paul Lawson; and her great-grandson, Sean “Isaiah” Lawson.

Grace met Herman in 1941 while he was visiting Labadieville with his father on a business trip. Their bond grew over the years, and after a 12-year courtship, they were married in the summer of 1953 in New Orleans. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love and devotion.

Grace had a long and fulfilling career in bookkeeping, working for Paretti Pontiac, Orthopedic Specialties, and the Southern Yacht Club. She later retired from K-Mart’s Garden Department, a role that perfectly reflected her love of gardening.

A woman of deep faith, Grace was an active parishioner and choir member at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church in New Orleans. After moving to Covington, she attended St. Peter’s Catholic Church, and later became a devoted member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church from its founding in 2005 until 2021. Grace and Herman were actively involved in church life, especially in the choir, and shared a profound devotion to the Blessed Mother.

Grace is survived by her loving children: Carolyn Lawson (Keith), Gordon Frank (Josephine), and Darryl Frank (Tammy). She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Stacey Lawson Bye; Dustin Frank (Francie); Jonathan Lawson (Julie); Derrick Dunne (Tamara); Garret Frank (Alise); Brandon Frank (Alyson); Ashley Frank Percle (Andrew); Mallory Frank Hotard (Donny); Kelsey Frank Lambert (Dylan); and Logan Frank (Emily). She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Grace’s life was a reflection of the love she gave so freely to her family and to all who knew her. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—cooking, caring for her home, and tending to her garden. Her kindness, patience, and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. She will be deeply missed, and her legacy will live on in the many lives she touched.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff and friends at Lake Louise Care Home, as well as the devoted caregivers and community who lovingly cared for Grace prior to her stay there. Your compassion and kindness meant so much, and you became like family to us all.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, April 20, 2026, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 6425 West Metairie Avenue. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park, 5454 Pontchartrain Boulevard, New Orleans.
