Georgia Nell Jenkins Montgomery

Georgia Jenkins Montgomery, age 72, of Bush, Louisiana, passed away on December 22, 2025. She was born on August 10, 1953, in Bogalusa, Louisiana.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, Ulie Jenkins and Cora Lee Fitzgerald Jenkins.

She is lovingly survived by her son, Jamie Montgomery (Susie); her brothers, Terry Jenkins (Sandra) and Ulie Jenkins (Cindy); her grandchildren, Marlee Montgomery and Maison Montgomery; and her great-grandchild, Louie Montgomery.

Georgia was a devoted member of Common Ground Church. She had a deep love for concerts and music, enjoyed traveling—especially visiting Mexico—and was always eager to learn new things. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family. She loved going for a ride, and if it happened to be down a gravel road, it made it even better.

Georgia loved people, and people loved her. She was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Common Ground Church, Covington, Louisiana. Fellowship will follow at 12:00 noon at New Zion Baptist Church.
