George Herschel Morris passed away on Wednesday September 14, 2016. George is a native of Houston, Texas born August 29, 1924 and a resident of Mandeville, LA. He is the son of the late George Lewis Morris and Vivian Pearl Morris. Survived by his loving wife Miriam Quaglino Morris, a daughter Elizabeth Anne Morris Baker, his son George Lewis Morris II. Also survived by a grandson George Lewis Morris III, a sister Joyce Morris Husmann, and nephews and cousins. George graduated from San Jacinto High School and Texas A. & M, and a proud veteran of WWII where he served in the ETO 1944-1946 U.S. Signal Corps.. George Herschel was a registered Professional Engineer in Texas and worked worldwide in oil well service and drilling rig construction. A member of several professional societies.
