George Edward deBram

George Edward deBram, born August 7, 1933, in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026. He was a longtime resident of Pearl River, Louisiana. 

George was a founding member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, where he became an elder in 1974. His faith and his church family were an important part of his life.

George enjoyed many things, including fishing, sewing, and upholstery. He was also happiest in the comfort of his chair, reading the newspaper and keeping up with the world around him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce deBram; his mother, Carmen Turner; his father Carlos deBram; his sons, Thomas “Tony” deBram, Joshua deBram, Jacob deBram, and Walter deBram; his sister Iris Edith deBram and his brother, Robert Arestil deBram.

George is survived by his children, Michael deBram (Karen), Edith D. White (John), George deBram Jr. (Brenda), Carmen D. Decareaux (David), Philip deBram (Linda), and Laura D. Hasselbeck; his grandchildren, Andrea Chanson, Michael deBram Jr. (Brooke), Hannah deBram, Ashly deBram, Thomas “Tom” deBram, Tyler deBram, Jacob deBram Jr., and Emma deBram, Dustin and Dakota Whetstone; his great-grandchildren, Hartlee LaTulippe, Charlie LaTulippe, Blake deBram, Helena deBram, Myla deBram, and Juliana deBram; and his sister Bernadette Lincoln(Daniel).

George will be remembered and deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 31, 2026, at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Hwy 437, Covington, Louisiana 70435. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Eternal Rest Cemetery at approximately 1:00 p.m.
