Gene Thomas Rodrigue Jr.

Gene Thomas Rodrigue Jr. passed away on September 10, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on September 25, 1966, in New Orleans, Louisiana, he spent his life rooted in the place he called home and passed away in Jefferson, Louisiana.

Gene will be remembered as a man who loved the outdoors and found happiness in hunting and fishing. He was also an electrician, a trade that reflected his hardworking nature and the steady, practical way he moved through life.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille T. Rodrigue. He is survived by his father, Gene Thomas Rodrigue Sr.; by his son, Dane Thomas Rodrigue; (Christy Brown) and by his sister, Connie R. Waguespack (Kie France). He is also remembered with love by his nieces and nephews and by the family who will continue to carry his memory forward.

Those who knew Gene will remember him for the life he lived, the work he did, and the simple things he enjoyed most. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.
