Gail Rita Sisung

Gail Rita Sisung passed away on March 10, 2026 at the age of 90. She was born August 14, 1935 in Gretna, La. Gail was preceded in death by her parents Mildred J. and Joseph B. Sisung, and sisters Joy S. Hepting, Lois S. Kliebert, and Shirley S. Poole. She is survived by her brothers Bernard Sisung, Dennis Sisung (Shirley), Gerald Sisung, and many nieces and nephews. 

Gail had a great love for the outdoors and nature. Her happiest times were gardening, bird watching, fishing and vacationing with friends in the mountains and National Parks of Utah and Arizona. She always enjoyed playing cards, woodworking, bowling, watching Saints games and visiting with friends and family. 

Her struggles with Dementia took her away from us too soon, but she will always be remembered for her caring and fun nature.

Graveside services will be held Friday, March 13, 2026 at 12:00 noon at Westlawn Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Ave., Terrytown, LA 70056.
