Gail Landry Barthe

After an eight-year battle with cancer, Gail Landry Barthe entered her heavenly resting place on November 3, 2025.

She was the beloved wife of the late Walter Barthe, Jr., and together shared a beautiful blended family filled with love and laughter.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Anna Leahy Landry and Nestor Joseph Landry, and her siblings Nestor Joseph Landry and Kathleen Landry and step-son Walter Barrthe III. 

She was the devoted mother of Wayne Stoltz, Jr. (Judy), Christopher Stoltz, and Marty Stoulz; and loving stepmother to, Rebecca Breaud (Urban), Melissa Sutherland (Mike), and Sandra Runco (Sal).

She is also survived by her sisters JoAnn Cannon and Debra Folse, as well as 10 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren-each one touched by her warmth, faith, and unconditional love.

The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to St. Tammany Parish Hospice and her dedicated team of physicians for their compassionate care throughout her journey.

Though Gail grew up in New Orleans, the city that forever held her heart, she made her home in Folsom for the past year and half. She remained a true New Orleanian-spirited, loving, and resilient.

Gail's legacy of family, faith, and strength will continue to shine brightly through all who were blessed to know her.

A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at a later date.
