Fulton Peter Bourgeois

Fulton Peter Bourgeois born on October 19, 1944 in New Orleans, La. Entered in rest on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at the age of 81. 

Beloved husband of Sheila Smith Bourgeois for 39 years. Father of Steven Bourgeois (Susie), Tammy Kinchen (Tim), Michelle Keith (William), and the late Jason Bourgeois. Stepfather to Tina Bourgeois (Henry) and Becky Menesses (Sam) for 43 years. Son of the late Simon Bourgeois and Beryl Braud Bourgeois. Brother of the late Benton Bourgeois, Bibiana Bourgeois and Yvonne Reynolds. He is survived by two sisters Magdalen Naquin and Sylvia Adolph, 13 grandchildren, 4 great grand children, many nieces and nephews and cousins. Especially Craig Taffaro, who was like a brother to him and friends who loved him. 

Fulton had an exciting career with the Boeing Company and served in the Air Force proudly for 6 years then retired from the DCMDE, Defense Shuttle Logistics Agency of the Space Program for 28 years. His love for working in his garage making tools, fixing cars and carpentry and metal work were impressive. He loved going to car shows. He will be lovingly missed and remembered by all who knew him. A special thanks to the SMH Ochsner hospital staff, the Enhabit Hospice staff and the Hospice House staff who gave him care until the end. 

Rest in peace my love . I will always love and cherish my husband, my friend and my companion for 44 years.
