Frances Darlene Taylor Dalleo, a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, with her sister and niece by her side. She was 59 years old. Born on November 4, 1963, in New Orleans, LA, Darlene lived a vibrant life that touched the hearts of all who knew her. Her infectious smile and zest for life brought joy to those around her, ensuring there was never a dull moment when she was around. Her light will forever shine brightly.

Darlene’s greatest joy in life was being a loving mother to her children. Left to mourn her passing are her daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Mike Owens, her son, Michael “Mikie” Schmiderer, and her cherished fur baby, Rex. In addition to her role as a mother, Darlene was a beloved sister to Anita (Buddy) Peter, Jeannie (Butch) Deyo, and Sherry (Bill) Thibodeaux. She took great pride in being an aunt to a host of nieces and nephews, and had a special bond with her niece, Tammy Lynn Guidry, who provided unwavering care and support throughout Darlene’s illness.

Darlene has been reunited with so many loved ones who preceded her in death, including her husband, Salvadore Dalleo, Jr., her mother Anna Rodriguez Mills, her sister Ruth Stefanakis, her brothers David Gillikin, Sr., Jerry Taylor, and Jack Gillikin, Sr., her fur baby, Gypsy, and her grand-dogs, Rascal and Junior. Their memories will forever be cherished by those who loved Darlene.
