December 5, 1942 — June 5, 2026

Covington, Louisiana

Fernando Lemoine Patrón passed away peacefully in his home at age 83 on June 5, 2026 surrounded by his family. Pat lived a life marked by dedication and service to his family and country. Known to many simply as "Pat," he lived a life marked by compassion, strength, and deep devotion to his family.

Pat spent three years at Saint Joseph Seminary College in Covington, LA, also known as Saint Ben's Catholic Seminary. He then spent three years at Immaculata Seminary College in Lafayette, LA. He carried that same spirit of service into every aspect of his life by serving his country with honor as a United States Marine for six years. He went on to have a successful career as a computer technician for 35 years.

Beyond his career, he spent so much of his time being the "neighborhood Dad" to many, and he was a regular coach at the playground.

Pat is preceded in death by his parents Diego Patrón of Merida, Yucatan, and Leola Lemoine Patrón of Cottonport, LA. Pat was the second of 4 children, and is preceded in death by his eldest brother, Diego Patrón . Pat is survived by his two siblings, Chris Patrón (Penny), and Judy Patrón Hebert (Paul).

Pat is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gretchen Maria Patrón , and also leaves behind his loving children: Michael Patrón , Stephen Patrón (Emilie), and Elizabeth Patrón Garriga. He was a loving and devoted grandfather to his grandchildren: Marin Patrón , Lilly Garriga, and Roman Garriga. And of course, he loved each and every one of his nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pat's passing has left a void that can never be filled. With Pat's departure, we remember a life lived with an immense love of his family and constant sense of caring, unconditional love, and generosity. May he rest in peace.
