Felix Joseph Moisant, affectionately known as "Bay," was born on November 5, 1938, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He lived a full and meaningful life until his passing on September 2, 2025, in Madisonville, Louisiana.
Felix devoted a significant of his career to the St Tammany Parish School Board and was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electric Workers (IBEW) and C.O.A.S.T. Throughout his professional journey, he made lasting impacts and fostered connections within his community.
Outside of work, Felix enjoyed various hobbies and interests. He loved eating out and relished the time spent working on jig saw puzzles. A passionate fan, he spent many enjoyable hours watching LSU baseball, football, and softball games.
Felix is survived by his step-son, Michael Charamie; his brother, Daniel A. Moisant; and his sister, Susan Moisant McGuire. He joins his loving wife, Cherylin CharamieMoisant, parents, Daniel Joseph Moisant and Anita Strain Moisant, and his sister, Joan Moisant Delpinio, who have all passed before him.
A visitation in honor of Felix will take place on September 20, 2025, at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mandeville, Louisiana, beginning at 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass at 11:00 AM. The inurnment will be held on September 22, 2025, at Eternal Rest Cemetery in Covington, Louisiana at 9:30 AM.
Felix's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His warm spirit and commitment to family and community will not be forgotten.
