Emile Henry

EMILE JOSEPH HENRY, Age 66, died peacefully at home in Slidell, LA, with his wife of nearly 44 years at his side.  Emile was born on September 13, 1954, in New Orleans, LA.  He is preceded in death by his son, Emile Joseph Henry, Jr., his brother, Bruce, and his parents, Pearl Aiola Henry and Marceline Henry. Emile’s heart was forever broken after the death of our son; and it never really healed.  They are together now listening to music and telling jokes, I never got, to each other.  He is survived by his wife, Katherine Kinler Henry, his faithful companion Abbie (Jack Russell Terrier).  He is also survived by his brother (Vincent) and sister (Patsy); many brothers and sisters-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews. Emile served in the U.S. Marine Corp. for 6 years and worked for Chalmette Linens, Equitable Shipyards, Halter Shipyards and Trinity Yachts for many years. As per Emile’s request, he will simply be placed in the HENRY tomb at Greenwood Cemetery. Interment will be on Friday, August 6, 2021, at 1 p.m.  There will be no service, just family and friends bidding farewell.  Anyone wishing to pay their respects are certainly welcome but the whole affair will be simple and last a few minutes.  Thanks to all our family and friends with their prayers and support during this difficult time.
