Elizabeth Ida Buttner Williams Penton passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the age of 86. Elizabeth was born on Saturday, February 15, 1928 to Lena Mosbey and Edward Buttner, Sr. A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Franklinton, LA. Beloved wife of the late Ernest Williams, Jr. and Kelley R. Penton. Mother of Ernest Williams, III. (Julie), James Edward Williams and Gvorja Penton Busby (William “Bill” Jr.). Grandmother of Brent and Jeffrey Williams and William R. “Will” Busby, III and Emma N. Busby and Crystal Williams. Great-grandmother of Chloe Richard. Sister of Muriel Maechling, Doris Jowly, Val Buttner, Violet Sialle and the late Thelma Schamber, Theresa Sposito, Edward, Jr., Jerry and Ralph Buttner. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Mandeville, LA. Interment Eternal Rest Cemetery, Covington, LA.
