Elizabeth Ann Burke Howard Ginn was born on January 26, 1951 to the union of the late Frank and Lydia Burke in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was raised in the Lower 9th Ward. Elizabeth, or Liz as she was called by most, was baptized at an early age.
Elizabeth was united in marriage to Wayne Howard and through that union Wayne Burke was born. Many years later she unionized with Val Ginn.
Elizabeth dedicated many years to her family and friends. She was a devoted Jehovah's Witness and lived her life according to the Bible's principles.
Elizabeth was known for her selfless spirit, distinct laughter, and the love she had for her family. Her war smile and kind heart touched many lives.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lydia Burke, her two sisters, Mary Louise Paul and Yvonne Dunbar, and her niece Cynthia Paul.
Elizabeth leaves to cherish her son Wayne Burke, Daughter in Law Mika Burke, her two grandsons Jordan and Jayden Burke, her great granddaughter Amelia M. Burke, two nephews Aaron Dunbar (Quita) and Alton Dunbar (Kilia), niece Christel Anderson (Isaac Sr), great nieces Jaeda Paul, Kaylah Anderson and great nephew Isaac Jr, and a host of other family members and dear friends and neighbor who checked on her before her untimely departure.
Liz, as everyone knows her, was deeply loved and though she will be greatly missed, we look forward to God's promise of seeing her again in Paradise.
