Edgar R. Waguespack, Jr.

Edgar Raymond Waguespack, Jr passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025 surrounded by his loving family after a gallant battle with cancer. He was born on October 26, 1958 , in New Orleans and lived his life in Covington, La. He was employed at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi for over 20 years.

Edgar lived life to the fullest partaking in his many hobbies of music, music composition, gardening, building , tinkering with electronics and even building a travel trailer from the ground up. He cherished grilling and seafood boils with family and friends.

Edgar is survived by his wife of 20 years, Nancy Kirschner Waguespack, his sister, Desiree Waguespack Maestri (Eddie), and his respective children: Christopher Waguespack (Desiree), Melanie Cox (Chris), Brandon Waguespack, Joshua Waguespack (Skyler), Phillip Kappe (Brittney) , Colin Kappe and Amanda Kirschner. Edgar is also survived by seven grandchildren, Airman 1st Class Austin Waguespack, Owen Cox, Jac Cox, Aiden Kappe, Kailynn Kappe, Eleanor Kappe, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Edgar will be deeply missed by his extended family and friends.

Edgar is predeceased by his parents Edgar Raymond Waguespack, Sr, and Ruth Ann Allo Waguespack.

Edgar will be remembered by all who knew him as an incredibly kind, giving, funny, and loving man with a huge heart. God Speed Edgar.
