Duane Ivan Paul Guillory

Duane Ivan Paul Guillory, born on September 3, 1941, in Ville Platte, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, in Covington, Louisiana. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Dad lived his life with a smile on his face, laughing and joking any chance he had. Always giving and helping others, he wanted for nothing.

He was predeceased by his beloved spouse, Sylvia Guillory, along with his parents, Ivan & Isabelle Guillory. Duane's legacy continues through his loving sons: Eric Guillory (Mary), Dean Guillory, Brent Guillory (Kimberly), and Kirk Guillory (Barbara). He took immense pride in his role as a grandfather to Taylor, Tyler, Justin, Kyle, Katie, Derick, and Jamie, finding joy in their lives and accomplishments.

Dad was the richest man I knew, not with wealth or riches but with the love of his family and friends. His quiet joy came from running the weedeater in his lawn beautification service co. where he worked for over 50 years in lawn maintenance, employing young men and kids from the neighborhoods. Mom and dads love for fishing brought their family together to form an unbreakable bond. Dads last fishing trip was on his 84th birthday where he limited out on reds.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on December 13, 2025, beginning at 9:30 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM at Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, located at 75212 Lee Rd, Covington, Louisiana, 70435.

Duane's spirit will live on through the love and memories shared with his family and friends, reminding all who knew him of the joy that simple pleasures can bring. His presence will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Liturgy of The Work at 11:00 a.m. in The Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home 75212 Hwy 437 Covington, Louisiana 70435. Burial to follow in the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
