Donald Mastio

Donald Mastio, born on July 27, 1937, in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away on April 18, 2025, in Covington, Louisiana. He was a cherished member of his community and a dedicated family man.

A proud member of St. Benedict's Men's Club, fostering connections and friendships that would last a lifetime. Donald was also known for his proficiency in woodworking, a hobby that allowed him to express his creativity and passion for craftsmanship.

Donald is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Bothman Mastio, and their loving daughter, Susan Clark. He was a devoted father to his son, Paul Mastio, and daughter-in-law Katie. The warmth of his spirit lives on in his six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who he cherished every moment with.

He is preceded in death by his father Charles Mastio and mother Hazel Mastio, his son, David Mastio, as well as his sisters, Audrey Leidinger and Beverly Wellmeyer, and brother Carl Mastio.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 25, 2025, at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 20370 Smith Rd, Covington, LA 70435. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM followed by Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery, 75376 River Rd, St Benedict, LA 70457.

Donald's warmth, kindness, and craftsmanship will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
