Donald Wayne "White Lightning" King passed away in Slidell on the Twenty-First of April, 2026. He will be deeply missed.

A native of Covington Louisiana, Donald King was born to Williard and Helen Grantham King on the Ninth of March, 1951. Growing up alongside six siblings, Donald learned the importance of family and community, but also the value of spending time outside.

Donald loved to barbecue, enjoyed raising hogs and rabbit, and excelled at making sausage.

He is survived by his siblings: Betty King (James), Reba Cleland (George), Linda McIntyre (Ronnie), and Wilda King Welch; his children: Jennifer King Hawkins, Patrick King, Jamie King (Kim), and Amanda Harrison; and numerous gran and great grandchildren.

 Donald was preceded in death by bis brothers, Billy King (Fannie) and Wendell King (Paula); as well as his parents Williard and Helen Grantham King.

He will be missed by every person whose life he touched.

A service for Donald King will be announced at a later date.
