Desiree Nicole Latil Hawthorne, a devoted mother and source of inspiration, passed away tragically on August 20, 2023, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was born on May 20, 1990, in Hammond, Louisiana. Desiree's kind and compassionate nature touched the lives of those she cared for and anyone lucky enough to know her.
Desiree was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Robert Joseph Latil and Maternal grandmother Sandra Allen.
Desiree is survived by her grandmother Valley Latil, father Robert Latil, Mother Melanie Harris-Latil. Birthmother Cabrina Lehmann. Brothers Eddie Giroir, Victor (Alex) Diaz, Matthew Diaz, Dakota Harris. Sisters Maggie Latil, Lacey Latil. Beloved husband Robert Hawthorne and mother-in-law Clemencia Williams. Daughters Ava, Ana, Aja, and only Son Axl Hawthorne as well as her aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends!
Her presence brought comfort. Desiree’s pride and delight were her children; she loved them with all of her heart. She was such a devoted mother. Her family was her life.
She had mostly been a stay-at-home mom. Before she took the recent job with ALCU, she was a caretaker in Mississippi.
Desiree was an inspiration to her friends and family. While raising her children, Desiree pursued her education and obtained an Associate's degree.
Desiree immediately lit up any room she entered into. She was a joyful person with a colorful soul, with her sparkly face and bubbly personality. She delighted in creating beautiful pieces that showcased her creativity and attention to detail. Her artistic talents brought happiness not only to herself but also to those who were fortunate enough to receive one of her unique creations.
Desiree Nicole Hawthorne touched the lives of many through her unwavering compassion and dedication. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to have known her. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory always be cherished in our hearts.
