Obituary

Clyde Randall Gay, a beloved father, brother, and friend, peacefully departed this life on June 1, 2026, in Slidell, Louisiana. Born on September 24, 1957, in Biloxi, Mississippi, Clyde lived a life filled with passion, laughter, and the simple joys that brought him immense happiness.

Clyde was a man who found solace and delight in the great outdoors. His love for fishing was not just a pastime but a cherished way to connect with nature and unwind from the world’s demands. Equally, he treasured spending time with his dogs, faithful companions who shared his quiet moments. Clyde’s warm spirit revealed itself most vividly when surrounded by his friends at car shows or cheering fervently for his favorite NASCAR racers, always ready to pass a good time with those around him.

Though his journey has ended, Clyde’s memory will live on through the lives of those he touched so deeply. He is survived by his daughter Amber Kruebbe and her husband Tony; Amy Duke; Raven Gomez and husband Carlos; Chad Gay and his wife Christy; and his brother Mike Gay and his wife Tammy. His grandchildren—Gabrielle, TJ, and Nathan Kruebbe; Leiten and Noah Gay; and Ramone and Rachel Gomez—carry forward the legacy of love and laughter he so generously shared.

Clyde's heart was once joined in marriage to his late wife, Lori Lee Gay, whose memory he cherished dearly. He also leaves behind the memories of his father, Frank Horace Gay Sr, his mother, Betty Yvonne Parker, and siblings Brenda Dearman and her husband David, Frank Gay Jr, and Clifton Gay, who have all preceded him in passing.

A memorial service to honor Clyde’s life will be held on July 11, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Abundant Life Church, located at 40295 Crowes Landing Rd, Pearl River, LA 70452. This gathering will be a time for family, friends, and all who knew Clyde to celebrate the remarkable man he was and the enduring impact of his kindness, generosity, and jovial spirit.

As we say goodbye to Clyde Randall Gay, we remember a life richly lived—a man who embraced the beauty in everyday moments and left behind a trail of fond memories. His presence will be deeply missed, but the love he sowed among his family and friends will forever comfort and inspire those who were lucky enough to know him. Rest peacefully, Clyde, in the embrace of the heavens you so often admired from the waters and skies below.
