Christine Elizabeth Butler Atwood, born on November 8, 1964, in Killeen, Texas, passed away on August 17, 2025, in Covington, Louisiana. Christine was a remarkable individual who was beautiful inside and out. She touched the lives of everyone she met, offering kindness and friendship to all who crossed her path.
Christine is survived by her loving father, Warren A. Butler Jr. (Margaret). She leaves behind her sons, Herbert Andrew Williams, III and Nolan Robert Williams (Caitlynn). Her memory will also be cherished by her nephews, Elliot Adler Moore (Mariah), Evan August Lutz, Joshua Scott Lutz, Nathan James Cheatham, Nicholas James Cheatham, Spencer Putt, Wyatt Putt, and Isaac Butler. As well as her nieces, Talluluh Butler, Tabitha Butler and Sadie Putt Additionally, she is remembered by her siblings, Stephanie Butler Cheatham (Bill), Whitney Butler Lutz (Kraig), Daniel W. Butler (Jacquie), and Sarah Butler Putt (Jonathan). Christine was also a proud grandmother to Morgan Williams and Logan Williams.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Margit Adler Wingfield, and her nephew, Ethan Marshall Moore.
Christine’s love for tennis, music, and reading, along with the time spent with her family, will forever be remembered. She leaves behind a legacy of love and friendship that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
A memorial service will be held on September 20, 2025, at Redeemer Lutheran Church LCMS, located at 22531 LA-1088, Mandeville, Louisiana. The service will begin at 11:00 AM.
