Christian Michael Bayer

Christian (Chris) Michael Bayer, age 56, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 13, 2023 at 3:00 pm.  Chris is survived by his loving and devoted mother, Valerie Walker (George).  Chris and Valerie shared a special bond of being born on the same day.   Beloved son of the late John Christian Bayer and brother of the late John Christian Bayer, Jr.  He is additionally survived by his brothers, Dwayne Edward Bayer (Arlene), Matthew Tyrone Bayer (Karen), Jessie Ryan Bayer, David Michael Bayer, and Michael James Bayer (Jessica). Chris is survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a great nephew.

Chris was the grandson of the late Edward Joseph Cambre, Sr. and Danielle Fleury Cambre; Edward (Eddie) Bayer and Lillian Joffrion Bayer. 

Chris treasured being born on his mothers, Valerie Walker’s birthday October 29, 1945. The two of them celebrated this special day each year. 

Chris loved the outdoors, especially walking his dogs, Maggie and Bailey. He had a servant’s heart to care for and love people.  He was a kind and compassionate soul.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service to be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at St. Dominic Parish Church, 775 Harrison Avenue, New Orleans, LA. Visitation will begin at 11:30am with services to begin at 12:00 pm. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, 5190 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, LA imeediatly following the service.
