Cheryl Ann Batiste passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, at the age of 74. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on March 31, 1951 to Elton John Batiste, Sr. and Marie Agnes (Adams) Batiste.
Cheryl graduated from Archbishop Blenk High School before earning her Pharmacy degree from Xavier University. She went on to dedicate over 50 years of her life to the field of pharmacy, serving her community with unwavering commitment and care.
Cheryl is survived by her cherished daughter, Karen Elizabeth Batiste, and her nephew, Ashton Winnsfield Batiste. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends for her generous spirit, wisdom, and the countless lives she touched.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Elton John Batiste, Jr.; and her sister, Denise Marie Batiste.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Marrero, Louisiana, on January 3, 2025, starting with Recitation of the Rosary at 9:15 AM, followed by tributes, with a Mass of Christian Burial, officiated by Fr. Sidney Speaks, III, beginning at 9:15 AM. Burial will follow the services at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery, 146 Fourth Street, Westwego, LA, 70094. The family invites all who knew Cheryl to join them in celebrating her life and the legacy she leaves behind.
Cheryl will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
