Charles Dirk Merlo, beloved father of Kally Rose Merlo and grandfather (Poppy) to Kolton Wayne Erwin passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 21, 2017. He was 56 years old. He loved the outdoors and was often seen at the point off Lake Road in Lacombe where he would be crabbing or fishing. He will be sadly missed by family and countless friends. A memorial service in celebration of his life will be held at the end of Lake Road, Lacombe LA 70447 on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 2:00 pm.
